มหาวิทยาลัยแจ้งล่าสุดวันเปิดเทอมของแต่ละหลักสูตร โดยได้เตรียมความพร้อมทั้งในกรณีที่จะต้องเรียนผสมผสานระหว่างการเรียนออนไลน์ และการเข้าคราส ซึ่งข้อมูลทำได้ดีมากโดยเน้นความปลอดภัยของนักเรียนเป็นสิ่งสำคัญนะคะ และมหาวิทยาลัยเตรียมความพร้อมของการเชื่อมระหวางการเรียนแบบคราสเล็กและอัดแน่นความรู้บนออนไลน์ โดยยังเน้นส่วนสำคัญครบทุกอย่างค่ะ

สำหรับน้อง ๆ ที่มีโรคประจำตัว พี่แนะนำให้อย่าพึ่งไปเรียนนะคะ อยู่เมืองไทยจะปลอดภัยที่สุด แต่สำหรับน้อง ๆ ที่สุขภาพแข็งแรง โรคโควิด เป็นโรคที่น่ากลัว แต่ตอนนี้เราเริ่มรู้จักกับโรคนี้ดีขึ้นมาก และรู้วิธีป้องกันและจัดการได้ดีขึ้นแล้วค่ะ การเดินทางไปเรียนที่ประเทศอังกฤษ ยังสามารถไปได้ในปีนี้นะคะ พี่ ๆ พร้อมจะดูแลน้อง ๆ ด้วยความเต็มใจค่ะ

UCA – Updated Start Dates and Teaching Plans for Autumn 2020
Term Dates
We’re excited to welcome students onto our campuses this autumn. We know how important in-person teaching is when studying a creative subject, so we’re planning to open all our sites. This means students will learn face-to-face with their tutors and fellow students as much as possible and in line with public health advice.

In order to prepare for this, we have amended our term dates to allow time for us to make some adjustments to our campus environments.

Our visa team will begin processing CAS from 15 July for students who have accepted their unconditional offers and paid their deposits. Our team will be in touch in the coming weeks to support students throughout the process.

Safety on Campus and Teaching Plans
We want to make sure that we keep students safe throughout their time at UCA, so here’s a guide to how we’re planning to operate when they join us:

Changes to learning spaces
Our priority as a university is to deliver as much teaching as possible on campus in line with public health advice. We plan to update the layouts of our classrooms, workshops and studios so students can have safe access to these and other specialist facilities, taking social distancing measures into account.

Timetabling
We’re planning our scheduling of classes to limit the number of students on campus at any one time. We’ll be trialling the ‘bubble’ principle: meaning students will be taught in a group, and have as little physical contact with other groups as possible. We’re planning the scheduling of classes so students can move between them safely and minimise the number of journeys to and from campus each week.

Online learning
Where practical, we’ll put our lectures, classes and seminars online so that students can still access them if they are self-isolating, shielding, or unable to come to the UK.

Wellbeing & support
Student will have one-to-one Personal Development Tutorials with an academic tutor, where they’ll talk through their progress and check on wellbeing. They will also offer online sessions when face-to-face meetings aren’t possible. Students will have access to a full range of specialist advisors who will offer online sessions when face-to-face meetings aren’t possible.

All our plans take students who might be most vulnerable to disruption into account – we’re making sure we can deliver learning safely to all our students, whether that means accessing teaching on campus, or online.

Industry links
We’ll continue to host visiting lectures, industry projects, and networking events either face-to-face or through online learning. We will engage with work placement providers to ensure that placements follow public health advice – even if that means working for placement organisations remotely. Where that’s not possible, we’ll offer alternatives to make sure they still get plenty of industry interaction.
