คำถามสุดฮิตว่าเรียนต่ออังกฤษควรมีเงินเท่าไหร่:
ในการเรียนต่ออังกฤษทั้งระดับปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโทนั้น นักเรียนและผู้ปกครองควรเตรียมงบประมาณให้พอเพียงกับค่าใช้จ่ายหลัก ๆ ดังต่อไปนี้
1. ค่าเรียน โดยส่วนใหญ่แล้วมหาวิทยาลัยจะคิดค่าเทอมเป็นรายปีซึ่งมีทั้งแบ่งจ่ายและจ่ายปีละครั้ง โดยค่าเรียนขึ้นอยู่กับหลักสูตรที่เรียนของแต่ละมหาวิทยาลัย สำหรับนักเรียนไทย เราจ่ายค่าเรียนต่ออังกฤษในฐานะนักเรียนต่างประเทศหรือที่เรียกว่า Overseas fee
2. ค่าหอพัก ซึ่งราคาที่พักนั้นจะแตกต่างตามลักษณะห้องที่เลือกอยู่ มีทั้งหอพักแบบห้องน้ำรวม ห้องครัวรวม แบบห้องน้ำในตัว และแบบสตูดิโอที่มีทั้งห้องน้ำส่วนตัวและบริเวณครัว
3. ค่าเดินทาง โดยเฉลี่ยแล้วการอยู่ในลอนดอนและเมืองใหญ่จะมีค่าเดินทางสูงกว่าเมืองเล็ก ๆ ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับการเลือกหอและลักษณะการใช้ชีวิตของน้อง ๆ ด้วย

ค่าหอหรือที่พักนักเรียนในอังกฤษนั้น ราคาขึ้นอยู่กับลักษณะห้องว่าเป็นห้องเดี่ยวห้องคู่ มีห้องน้ำในตัว มีห้องครัวในตัว หรือเป็นห้องสตูดิโอหรือไม่ ราคาหลายหลาก โดยส่วนใหญ่จะคิดเป็นอัตราค่าเช่าต่ออาทิตย์ หากเช่าหอของมหาวิทยาลัย สัญญาเช่าจะระบุจำนวนอาทิตย์ขึ้นอยู่กับนโยบายของแต่ละมหาวิทยาลัย ตั้งแต่ห้องแชร์คนละ 70 ปอนด์ต่ออาทิตย์ หรือห้องเดี่ยวแบบสตูดิโอในลอนดอน 380 ปอนด์ต่ออาทิตย์
ตามการสำรวจของ NUS ที่ประเทศอังกฤษ เฉลี่ยราคาหอพักนักเรียนทั้งประเทศ ค่าที่พักในลอนดอนเฉลี่ยเดือนละ 650 ปอนด์ นอกลอนดอน 511.60 ปอนด์

หากนักเรียนทำอาหารกินกันเอง ซื้อของวัตถุดิบรายอาทิตย์ จากการสำรวจพบว่าค่าอาหารเฉลี่ยสำหรับนักเรียนนานาชาติคือ 50.1 ปอนด์ต่ออาทิตย์
หากทานอาหารตามร้านอาหาร มื้อกลางวันอย่างต่ำ 10 ปอน์ด มื้อเย็นรวมค่าน้ำเตรียมงบไว้ประมาณ 20 ปอน์ดต่อมื้อค่ะ

การเดินทางในอังกฤษค่อนข้างสดวก มีทั้งรถไฟ รถเมล์ที่ตรงเวลา สำหรับการเดินทางส่วนใหญ่ของนักเรียนจะเดินทางด้วยรถเมล์ หรือเดินหากเรียนอยู่นอกลอนดอน สำหรับการเดินทางในลอนดอนจะเป็นการเดินทางด้วยรถไฟใต้ดิน และรถบัสผสมกัน ค่าใช้จ่ายในลอนดอนขึ้นอยู่กับตำแหน่งของที่พักและความใกล้ไกลจากมหาวิทยาลัย
เฉลี่ยค่ารถบัสนอกลอนดอน ประมาณ 15 ปอนด์ต่ออาทิตย์และค่ารถ 22.68 ปอนด์ต่ออาทิตย์ในลอนดอนสำหรับบัตรเดินทางประเภทนักเรียนในโซน 1-2 และหากซื้อเป็นรายเดือนจะถูกลง (87.15 ปอนด์ต่อเดือนในลอนดอน)

ตามการทำการสำรวจจาก NUS หรือ National Union of Students ค่าใช้จ่ายเฉลี่ยในการเรียนต่ออังกฤษหลักๆ เทียบเป็นเงินไทยที่อัตราแลกเปลี่ยน 48 บาทต่อ 1 ปอน์ดดังนี้
- ค่าเรียนเฉลี่ย 575,376 บาทต่อปี
- ค่าที่พักเฉลี่ยต่อเดือน เฉลี่ย 24,556.80 บาท
- ค่าเดินทางต่อเดือน เฉลี่ย 4,183.20 บาท
- ค่าอาหารต่อเดือน เฉลี่ย 10,317.60 บาท
สำหรับน้อง ๆ ที่มีงบประมาณ 1 ล้านบาทเพื่อเรียนต่อปริญญาโทที่ประเทศอังกฤษนั้น หากคิดรวมค่าเรียนและค่าใช้จ่ายสำหรับเรียนโท 9 เดือน มีเงินหนึ่งล้านบาทเรียนต่อโทก็สามารถอยู่จ้า ตอนนี้ค่าเงินปอน์ดหากเทียบกับเงินต่างประเทศถือว่าถูกที่สุดในช่วง 31 ปี หากเทียบกับเงินไทยถือว่าต่ำมากเทียบเท่าเมื่อสามปีที่แล้ว แต่หากอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนเริ่มเปลี่ยนแปลง ขอแนะนำให้น้อง ๆ และผู้ปกครองเตรียมเผื่อเงินตามความผันผวนของอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนของเงินปอน์ดด้วยค่ะ และควรมีเงินไม่ต่ำกว่าหนึ่งล้านสองแสนบาทเพื่อยื่นขอวีซ่านักเรียนอังกฤษนะคะ
